I don't understand the negative reviews here. I've had this group assigned to my problems twice now by my home warranty company. Each time they've been prompt and honest with the assessment of my issues. I've had to work with other contractors through the warranty, which can take days to weeks to get a resolution, but Intertech has always called me on the first day and sent someone almost immediately. I understand issues with warranty companies, but that's not this company's fault. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends.
I have recently used Intertech on two occasions. The first was when we lost electricity, threatening to cost us a refrigerator and freezer full of food. It was on a weekend and the technician came out that day and fixed that as well as a couple of other problems I threw at him once he was at our house. He was very cheerful and positive. The next situation was our loss of air conditioning, also on a weekend. In fact Memorial Day Weekend so suppliers would not be open until Tuesday. However the owner Richard made two trips to our house and came up with a spare part he had to last us until Tuesday, when his technician quickly made a permanent repair. Richard was every bit as pleasant as his technicians. I highly recommend Intertech!!
When i called my home warranty company about my dishwasher i was glad Intertech was assigned, at first, because less then a month ago they were at my house for a different issue. At that the customer service was great and the guy who came out to my house was great. However, today is a whole different story. My home warranty sent me an email saying i would pay at the time of the service. But all of sudden today when i called they want money just to schedule and appointment. I have never had anyone demand money just for an appointment. So when i called my home warranty back they also agreed and looked up my contract which clearly says payment at the time of service, not at the time i call to schedule. My home warrant company sent Intertech an email; however, they would not reply. When i called back Jimmy was very rude and demanded the money again if i wanted service. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. OH how do i know an email was sent, because i was CC on the email.
We were assigned to them by the warranty company and I'm so glad for it. The tech came out in a Friday evening (of a holiday weekend too!) because he wanted to see how much he could get done for us right away. The office did a good job keeping us posted on the repairs and expectations. And the technicians were excellent. Showed up on time, courteous, very conscientious of taking shoes off every time they walked in from outside, and worked quickly to get our new unit installed before the rain started. We were very pleased and highly recommend.
I am a very loyal person to companies but I must warn everyone about the experience we had with them...we have the best home warranty company ever, First American Home sent this company to fix our freezer, it took 5 trips to our house until they wanted us to pay for a part that was not covered under the warranty that WAS NOT BROKE BEFORE THESE TRIPS STARTED. It was at that point I received a callback from Richard the supervisor and asked him to look in his tech notes to see it was not reported broke until the third trip to our house. Richard said we had to pay for it , that is settled and hung up. I called First American back to advise of the problem, they sent out GE appliances to look at our freezer, within 5 seconds the tech SAW the problem, had the 15.00 part in his truck and it fixed the other problem the first company damaged and an existing problem we had with getting only crushes ice. We did not want to pay for the part to fix getting only crushes ice, we only wanted the ice to fall as it did before and stop overfreezing.. The GE tech only took about 10 min to fix everything. We are very thankful people. Intertech wanted us to pay over 150.00 for something that was not damaged before they came and 50.00 for something that was fixed because the freezer was overfreezing. Our freezer looked the same from May 2017 until August 4, 2017. Today we can actually thaw out our food, ice falls as expected!!
