This is a park I truly love, have been going here since I was a child, love the location and all the landscape scenery and let's not forget the, ducks, geese and fish. There is also a doggie park. Plus the museum itself is definitely worth touring.
The park is nice and has a lot to look at. There were a few homeless folks wandering around but they don't ask for help. They just wander through. There is some good history shared throughout the park.

This is a wonderful place to walk and picnic when visiting the Arkansas Art Center and Macarthur Museum of Arkansas Military History. Lake is stocked by Arkansas Game & Fish. Nice fenced dog park area.
Big fields for frisbee or other games, great for kids. Also has two fenced in dog parks, one for small dogs and another for large dogs, often with a lot of dogs present. Ducks or geese are usually present too which kids might like.
