After the funeral, we learned that my mothers ashes were not available. The attendant said that they had not arrived because the death certificate probably wasn't signed and that it could take up to a week. I knew this was a lie because I had already spoken to the medical examiner two days prior to the service. A few days later Roller Chenal called us to tell us the ashes had arrived. When I arrived to pick them up, they were still in the shipping box from company that performed the cremation, the shipping label on the box showed that it did arrive the day of the funeral. We had family in town who were not able to be present when we spread the ashes.
My family was extremely disappointed with the service we received at Roller Chenal for my mother's funeral service. The funeral director was not helpful in preparing the service and left most of the planning up to us. When the funeral started the funeral director was not available, he had left early for the day. The two attendants that were there did not appear to know what how to organize the funeral. The slideshow we had created and given to the funeral director was lost. Close to the end of the visitation, one of the attendants showed up with a disc that he said contained the slideshow, but he could not figure out how to get it to play in the DVD player.

I live in Arizona and had to make memorial arrangements for my Mother in Little Rock, The very first person that I talked to was very kind and most helpful. She transferred me to a funeral director named Christine. She listened to my needs and did not try to up-sale me on anything or give me a huge price quote for any of their services. She text me pictures of their chapel so I could see exactly what the area that I needed looked like....and it was beautiful and perfect! Upon my arrival in Little Rock, I went to the funeral home and began working with them on the details for the service. Everyone that helped me couldn't have done a better job or have been any kinder. They put together the memorial folders, had me meet with an in house minister to do the officiating and allowed me in the funeral home the evening before the service so I could set up the flowers, just the way I wanted them. The next day, I didn't feel hurried to do anything except show up. It was an absolutely beautiful service that I will never forget. Thank you Roller-Chenal for being there for me!
Whenever we asked for help or showed our disappointment, the only answer we got was "we are sorry for your loss." It left us with the impression that they thought our concerns weren't valid because we were grieving. I would not recommend this company to anyone and if I were the owner, I would fire the funeral director and several staff members.
