Firstly - the staff loves animals and do their best to not have to put an animal down. They only do it if there is absolutely no other choice.
Very nice dog park for the fur babies. Very helpful staff.
Very caring and kind staff that will help you choose your new pet. The staff loves all animals equally and very professional and friendly. The director is the best man ever, if you have any problems or questions he'll take good care of you. Loved my visit there.
P.s. regarding all the other reviews which state that they 'put down' animals within few days or that they treat cats bad...
David (employee of HS of Little Rock) This is a really great & helpful. Employee , He spent a great deal of time explaining what dogs they have to adopt & one that will get along w/Clark (my previous dog). I can't wait to go out there tomorrow or later today. Clark will no longer be sad or lonely after Scooter passed on. His heart was too big for his little 3 pound body. David, thank you so much, you were such a help!!!!
Very helpful and friendly staff.Great variety of cats and dogs.Very clean, and a place outside to take a dog you're looking at to adopt to see how they play and act. Highly recommend this place....
Secondly- people who said they keep kittens in small cages clearly aren't aware of the fact that the shelter is very often overfilled and volunteers and employees alike often take kittens and puppies home for fostering to not keep the animals (be it cats, dogs, kittens or puppies alike) in small cages in back rooms.
We have gotten four different animals through the years at this place and they have excellent prices on their animals considering that they always come spayed or neutered and up-to-date on all their shots.
