We started with the fried avocado, topped with crab. I am not a big avocado fan (it's a texture thing I guess), but we got it because some friends recommended it to my wife. It was amazing. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it! The breading was light and crispy, the crab salad on top was flavorful (not fishy), and just a little dip in the accompanying sauce made this appetizer worth the visit by itself.
Fantastic experience! Great food. Great service. GREAT service (wanted to repeat that). I wish I remembered his name, but he was nice, attentive, had a positive attitude and just seemed to enjoy his work. Nothing at all to complain about (except maybe that I ate too much :D).
Wish I'd taken more pictures, but it just looked so good I couldn't delay digging in! I guess I'll have to go back :D
Get the shrimp and grits... they are to die for!
Hands down most comfortable restaurant chairs I've ever sat in. Our waiter, Taylor, knew everything about every menu item and his recommendations were perfect. Would recommend for anyone
For dessert (got it to go... we were stuffed), we got a piece of key lime pie. Was nice and tart, creamy texture. A good crust is hard to really nail, but this one got close.
I got a steak (filet), and it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I usually order steaks medium rare, knowing that it will be at best "medium" temp, which I'm ok with. But this was a perfect medium rare. The asparagus was fresh and flavorful, with a nice snappy texture (not cooked to mush). The obviously from-scratch mashed potatoes were really tasty (I was nice and let my wife try them as well).
Absolutely outstanding. Staff was amazing. We met the owner Keet who was very friendly and the district manager also came up to us to see how everything was. Very attentive and we were very impressed!
Food was superb. Service from our waiter was exceptional, as well as the maitre D and even other members of the wait staff. It wasn't just one waiter, it was a true team approach. They even have a game area outdoors (baggo, etc) for after-dinner drinks/relaxation. Would definitely recommend.
My wife got a shrimp (and chicken, I think?) pasta, and it was so good. I hate shrimp and anything it touches, but I tried this and loved it. So much flavor, but not overwhelmingly rich. Just enough to mask the shrimp for me. She enjoyed it thoroughly!
Well, this is a wonderful addition to (West) Little Rock. The place has an ultra cool atmosphere. The background music was appropriately selected (when I was there) for the mood and feel of the place (Downtempo, if you have Pandora create a channel "Nightmares on Wax"). The bartenders were great; the drinks were good... if you like frozen drinks try their signature drink the Peachy Keet. Didn't get a chance to eat but the menu looked wonderful and reasonably priced. ... Overall, with their very very cool outdoor deck area, Petit and Keet is a destination spot. Definitely going back.
